Pre Employment Medical Examination

 

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, selected candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment medical examination after receiving a conditional offer of employment.

 

Purpose

 

The pre-employment medical examination helps ensure that candidates are medically fit to perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively. It also supports workplace safety and compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.

 

What the Medical Examination May Include

 

Depending on the role and job requirements, the assessment may include:

 

  • Review of medical history

  • Physical examination

  • Vision and hearing tests

  • Drug and/or alcohol screening

  • Immunisation verification

  • Functional capacity assessment for physically demanding roles

  • Additional job-specific medical evaluations as required

All medical examinations are conducted by licensed healthcare professionals.  Medical information is kept strictly confidential and maintained in accordance with applicable privacy and employment laws.  Results are used solely to determine fitness for duty and workplace safety considerations.
